By now we were all exhausted, so we decided to take a long holiday. We would tour again in the U.S. in the autumn. Unfortunately, in August 1975, tragedy struck. Robert and his lovely wife Maureen got in a serious car wreck while vacationing in Greece. Robert broke his ankle, and Maureen was seriously injured. In fact, it took a blood transfusion to save her life.
