Barker then spoke to his assistant. “Did you notice anything about this table, Mike?”

“No, Chief, I can't say that I did.”

“Neither did I,” said Barker, as he looked around the room. “Let's look in the kitchen.”

“Okay, Chief,” answered Mike.

In the kitchen, the detectives noticed something right away. Barker spoke first. “She is an orderly person, isn't she? All the dishes are washed and stacked, and the party wasn’t even over.”
