(Part 1)

The jungle was strangely quiet. As the noonday sun shone brightly, tall green trees covered the forest floor with a cool shade. Birds were singing ever so softly over the silence. Then suddenly they stopped. They heard a snap and a crack. It was the sound of a man running through the woods, followed by the sound of men on horses chasing after him.
