Arthur Ashe
Arthur Ashe was a remarkable figure in U.S. sports. He was a professional tennis player who was born and raised in Richmond, Virginia. Ashe won three of the most important tennis competitions in the world: the US Open, the Australian Open, and Wimbledon. He was the first and, to date, the only African American man to win at Wimbledon. All in all, Ashe won thirty-three titles.
