Solomon Northup enjoyed his freedom. He owned land. He read great books. He played music on the violin. One day, two men approached Solomon. They offered him a job to play music in New York. Solomon accepted the work. He didn't know that it was a trick. 

After visiting New York, They went to Washington D.C. The city had a large slave market. And there, the two men drugged Solomon. They kidnapped him. And they took him to the slave market. Solomon was legally free....
