As a boy in London, Jon loved to draw. He shaped the world with pencil and paper. He asked, “Why does this object look like that?” His father was a craftsman and teacher. He showed Jon how to shape wood and metal with care. Jon watched closely. He wanted to make things better.
At college, Jon studied design and stayed up late. He chased clean lines and perfect forms. He believed design could solve problems and help people.
