Aristotle was a great thinker. But he lived a long time ago (from 384 to 322 BC). He has been dead for more than 2,000 years, so why should we care about Aristotle? Can a dead man still be important today?

The answer is "Yes." For one, Aristotle gave us the basics of the scientific method. That is, if we want to understand the universe, we need to look at it, observe it, and try to measure it. We call this empirical study, and Aristotle introduced it.
