A Dog and a Rooster were best friends. They wanted to see the world, so they decided to leave the farm. They set out on their trip, going along the road that led into the woods.

The two friends traveled along feeling fine and without any adventure. When night came, the Rooster looked for a place to sleep. He found a nearby tree that he thought would do nicely for the night. The tree also had an opening at the bottom where the dog could sleep.
