A Grammy is one of the top awards in the music business. Grammys are given by the American National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences. The word "Grammy" comes from "gramophone." A "gramophone" is an old kind of record player. The 51st Grammy Awards took place on February 8th, 2009. Many famous artists performed for the event.
