It was a sad day on March 6, 1858. A young Native American man said goodbye to his family. On that day, he was going with his brothers to trade in a nearby town. His wife and mother stayed home to take care of the camp and the children. He thought he would see them again soon. But while he was gone, 400 Mexican soldiers attacked his camp. And his mother, wife, and three children were killed. Today we know this man as Geronimo.
